China's leading AI company iFlytek inked a strategic cooperation agreement with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Geneva, Switzerland, on April 17.

Sharing the same open attitude, iFlytek and ITU will pull together their technological edges to boost more innovative applications that combine intelligent voice with artificial intelligence (AI).

After the signing ceremony, Hu Yu, CEO of iFlytek, presented its new generation of translation devices—iFlytek AI Translators—to Malcolm Johnson, deputy secretary general of ITU.

With the real-time translation service and image recognition function, the AI devices will assist ITU in daily work and important meetings, freeing ITU staff from many troublesome affairs.

As the United Nations' specialized agency for information and communication technologies, ITU has always been committed to "connecting everyone around the world".
