Ministry: China does not want to escalate trade dispute with US

China's Commerce Ministry said on Thursday that the country does not want an escalation of trade friction with the United States.

Instead, China's stance is consistent and the country always pursues a balanced trade relationship with the US, according to ministry spokesman Gao Feng.
