Sixteen top university basketball teams from both regions of China will participate in the 8-day match, during which Taiwan students will also visit some campuses in Fujian province to deepen exchanges.
"Basketball is very popular in Taiwan, but we don't have so many professional contests as in the mainland. I have attended the match in Fujian province several times and it offers an important chance to learn and make more friends," said Lin Junji, a player at the Chien Hsin University of Science and Technology.
