CPC Central Committee sends appreciation letter

BEIJING -- The Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Monday sent a letter of appreciation to the central committees of other political parties and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC).

This came after the latter had extended congratulations on the 20th National Congress of the CPC.

The 20th CPC National Congress took place at a critical time as the entire Party and Chinese people of all ethnic groups embark on a new journey to build China into a modern socialist country in all respects and advance toward the Second Centenary Goal, read the letter.

The letter said the success of the 20th CPC National Congress is of great significance in terms of uniting and inspiring the people of all ethnic groups to strive for new victories for socialism with Chinese characteristics.

Noting that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the policy on the united front, the letter said promoting the united front, which is part of the historical experience from the Party's endeavors over the past century, provides important assurance for the CPC to defeat the enemy and to govern and rejuvenate the country.

The CPC will consolidate the broadest possible patriotic united front and work with other political parties, business federations, and public figures without party affiliation for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics, noted the letter, calling it a policy of strategic importance that the CPC will always uphold.

According to the letter, the CPC Central Committee will firmly uphold and improve the system of CPC-led multiparty cooperation and political consultation on the new journey toward the Second Centenary Goal.

The CPC Central Committee said it will work with other political parties and the ACFIC to pool the strength for realizing the goals set by the 20th National Congress of the CPC and write a new chapter of promoting the united front and multiparty cooperation.

The letter called upon the political parties and ACFIC to rally closely around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, and make tireless efforts to build China into a great modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious, and beautiful and realize the Chinese Dream of national rejuvenation.
