PLA monitors US warship sailing through Taiwan Strait

The People's Liberation Army monitored and responded to a United States warship that sailed through the Taiwan Strait on Thursday, a spokesperson said.
The PLA Eastern Theater Command spokesperson, Li Xi, said in a news release that the USS Ralph Johnson sailed through the Taiwan Strait on Thursday and publicly hyped it up.
The theater command organized naval and air forces to monitor and remained on alert throughout the US warship's transit, handling the situation in accordance with the law and regulations, he said.
