A thrilling camel archery competition recently held in Alshaa Right Banner, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, showed the charm of traditional Chinese sports.
The participants, dressed in traditional ethnic costumes, sat steadily on camelback as they entered the track, drew their bowstrings and released arrows, winning applause from the audience and fellow competitors.
During the opening ceremony, camel archery was officially declared a banner-level intangible cultural heritage.
