Tianjin's star continues to rise

From the online stir caused by the elderly divers of the Haihe river, to its relaxing pace of life laced with gastronomic delight, and its sense of humor, Tianjin has recently become a destination revered for its ability to calm the hearts and reinvigorate the minds of urbanities suffering from the pressures of work.

The historic city has much more to explore. For example, the period buildings once inhabited by prominent figures in the political, economic and cultural scene of the early 20th century. One such building in the Wudadao area, a cluster of heritage buildings built in a variety of architectural styles that integrate Chinese and Western approaches, has been turned into the Tao Art Center.
