China, Malaysia to allow visa-free entry

China and Malaysia will implement a mutual visa-free policy agreement from July 17, according to a CCTV report.

Under the new agreement, holders of valid Chinese official ordinary passports, ordinary passports, and Malaysian ordinary passports may enter either country without a visa for purposes including tourism, family visits, business, medical treatment and cultural exchange activities. Travelers may stay for up to 30 days per visit, with a maximum total stay of 90 days within any 180-day period.

Those planning to stay longer than 30 days, residing long term, or engaging in activities such as employment or study must apply for the appropriate visa from the host country before entry.
