Power restored to Hainan in aftermath of Typhoon Kajiki
Hainan Power Grid Co also dispatched 1,565 professionals from Danzhou and Lingao county to support southern regions, adopting a partitioned approach to improve efficiency. So far, 3,258 emergency personnel have been mobilized across the province, along with 36 live-line working vehicles and 14 self-draining flood control units.
Major scenic spots around Sanya reopened within hours of the typhoon hitting, with tourist Wang Jian saying conditions on the roads had improved rapidly and that he planned to visit popular destinations, including Wuzhizhou and Xidao islands.
Another visitor, Jia Shuwei, who is traveling with his child, had stayed indoors for several days during and after the typhoon. Upon venturing out, he observed enthusiastic service at tourist sites and efficient cleanup efforts involving fire services and military units.
The Atlantis Sanya resort quickly mobilized staff not dealing with guests to assist recovery work, according to Xu Xiangyu, senior director of marketing and public relations.
Work began quickly to clear fallen trees and address water leaks. The Atlantis water park reopened at 1 pm on Monday, with its large-scale aquatic and acrobatics show resuming the same day. Visitor numbers have since gradually rebounded, with strong public interest following the reopening, Xu said.
