Greece shares flavor of top alcoholic exports at expo
The China Xinghuacun International Alcoholic Drinks Expo 2025 opened on Sept 29 at Xinghuacun's international baijiu trading center in Fenyang city, Shanxi province.
The expo, which runs until to Oct 1, has attracted nearly 500 domestic and foreign producers of alcoholic beverages and companies that make equipment and packaging material, significantly raising its profile on the international stage.
Greece is this year's guest of honor and, in his opening remarks, Evgenios Kalpyris, Greece's ambassador to China, stressed that "the high-quality products, the strength of the Greek brand, and their organized promotion of Greek food and drinks in international markets represent the competitive strengths of the Greek Food and Beverage sector".
"In sophisticated consumer markets around the world, the quality of Greek foods and beverages has become synonymous to high quality," Kalpyris said.
"The exhibition we are inaugurating today will offer an opportunity to exceptional Greek wines and spirits to enhance their visibility and recognition among Chinese consumers."
