WIC holds 2026 New Year reception in Beijing
The World Internet Conference (WIC) held its 2026 New Year reception in Beijing on Dec 29.
Zhuang Rongwen, head of the Cyberspace Administration of China and chair of the WIC, attended and delivered remarks.
Also present were Niu Yibing, Wang Jingtao, Yang Jianwen and Li Changxi, deputy directors of the Cyberspace Administration of China. The reception was presided over by Secretary General of the WIC Ren Xianliang.
In his remarks, Zhuang noted that 2025 marked the 10th anniversary of the vision of building a community with a shared future in cyberspace. Over the past year, the WIC had actively practiced this vision, remained committed to its founding mission and fulfilled its international responsibilities.
Through dialogue and exchanges, the WIC had build broad consensus, deepened mutually beneficial cooperation through concrete actions, and continued to develop high-level and diverse platforms for international cooperation in cyberspace, achieving new progress and tangible results across its work and effectively promoting the prosperous and sound development of cyberspace, he said.
