PICC Property and Casualty Company Limited (PICC P&C) was incorporated on 7 July 2003 by The People's Insurance Company of China. PICC Holding Company injected all of its commercial insurance operations, together with related assets, liability and subsidiaries into PICC P&C. Now, PICC P&C is a leading P&C insurance company in China providing a broad range of P&C insurance products for a wide variety of customers throughout China.

PICC P&C accounted for over 70 percent of market share in 2002. The Company has set up an extensive nationwide network including more than 4,000 local branch offices.
