Wuliangye Yibin Co Ltd, one of China's top liquor makers, said unaudited net profit in the first half was 1.14 billion yuan, up 39.13 percent from a year earlier, mainly due to increased sales of high-end products, which helped offset a fall in revenue.

In a statement filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the company said core business revenue was 4.34 billion yuan, down 1.29 percent from a year earlier.
