China to invest 850b yuan in medical reform

China will spend 850 billion yuan ($124.30 billion) in the following three years to ensure the success of medical reform, Premier Wen Jiabao said in the work report at the opening meeting of the annual full session of the National People's Congress (NPC), China's top legislature.

Central government will invest 331.8 billion yuan in the capital pool, with the remaining coming from the local governments, Wen said.
