Beijing to start building second airport in 2010

China will start building the second airport in the capital city of Beijing next year, Zhang Gong, head of the city's development and reform commission, said on the sidelines of the ongoing annual session of the National People's Congress.

Beijing's second airport is likely to be located in the southern part of the city, Zhang was quoted by www.chinanews.com.cn as saying.

Construction of the airport is expected to be completed in 2015, he said.
