China will help search for solution to Venezuela crisis, Wang says

China will continue to promote the search of a political settlement to the Venezuela issue and support all parties in Venezuela to carry out peaceful dialogue, State Councilor and Foreign minister Wang Yi said on Friday.

External interference will only escalate tensions and bring back the law of jungle, Wang told a news conference in Beijing.

The internal affairs of any country should be solved by its own people, he said.

Wang noted that the rights of Latin America countries to develop their relationship with China should be respected and not be interfered with or criticized.

Cooperation between China and Latin America countries is not targeted at a third party, and the country will continue advancing cooperation with them, he added.
