Luxury British brand Bentley kicked off its first Bentayga tour in China on July 8 in Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet autonomous region.

The six-day tour – in the world's most powerful and luxurious SUV – took guests through Lhasa, to Tunba, where Tibetan language and incense originated, as well as to the picturesque Yamdrok Lake and Dagze river valley.

"There is a deep appreciation and love of the Bentley brand among the Chinese elites" said Daniel Khoo, managing director of Bentley Motors China.

"The Bentayga is a true Bentley SUV, and this is its first grand tour in China, staged on the Tibetan plateau, where our customers are invited to personally experience the epoch-making model's outstanding detail, all-terrain performance and state-of-the-art technology in a combination of fine qualities which provides the best opportunity for a full appreciation of Bentley's ‘Be Extraordinary' spirit."

Built in Crewe, the SUV sports an all-new twin turbocharged, 6.0-liter W12 engine that generates of a maximum output of 608 horse power and a top torque of 900 Nm.
