China would buy bonds issued by IMF

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is studying new channels to raise money including issuing bonds in order to better finance countries struck by the global financial crisis, China's central bank deputy governor Hu Xiaolian said on Monday at a press conference in Beijing.

Once the IMF decides to issue bonds, China will consider buying, Hu said.
