No 9 Pinterest ($11 billion)
Less than a year after investors valued Pinterest at $5 billion, the social discovery platform, which allows users to browse items and ideas and collect them on a virtual pinboard, more than doubled its valuation to $11 billion. The San Francisco-based company was launched in 2010.
