Sporty, versatile and functional - Audi presented the new A3 Sportback to Chinese consumers on Mar 27. The compact five-door model with the spacious luggage compartment is lighter than its previous editions thanks to ultra-lightweight technology, which reduces the weight by as much as 90 kg and meanwhile greatly improves sportiness and efficiency.
The engines are powerful and highly efficient. Audi equips the new A3 Sportback with the 40 TFSI S Line - 1.8-liter TFSI engine and six-speed S tronic double-clutch gearbox. Its peak output is 132 kW and top torque, 250 Nm. It accelerates from 1 to 100 km/h in only 7.2 seconds, with top speed of 235 km/h.
The new A3 Sportback's infotainment systems - featuring the intuitive connect technology and the driver assistance system - have set new standards in the premium compact segment. The overall design language concentrates on the essentials, with each individual design element making a confident aesthetic statement.
The body of the new Audi A3 Sportback is long and lean. While the length, width and height of the new model are only slightly larger than the previous model, the wheelbase is now significantly longer at 2,626 mm, an increase of 48 mm.?
