New Chery Arrizo sedan joins the cloud

Domestic automaker, Chery Automobile Co Ltd launched a brand new edition of its flagship Arrizo sedan at an event on Aug 28, during the Chengdu Motor Show in Chengdu, Sichuan province.

This new vehicle includes major updates that include the new Cloudrive V1.0 the connectivity system, updated maneuverability and interior designs.

"We collected customer feedback, and listend to consumer demands over the last year when we launched the Arrizo 7," said Huang Huaqiong, Chery's marketing and sales general manager. "Taking that feedback we made updates in line with what the car owners' wanted."

The latest Cloudrive V1.0 entertainment and connectivity system is said to make the car integrated with the internet.

The upgrades found in Arrizo 7 Magic Edition also include an electric moon roof, remote controlled windows with one touch rise, a genuine leather steering wheel, and a dark interior theme.

The Chinese carmaker said in a statement that the updated Magic Edition shows that the company is focused on the customer experience and understanding customer demands.

The Magic Edition name is inspired by the Chery sponsored TV reality show, The Great Magician on CCTV-3.

"The Great Magician reality show also shares the same targets with Chery," said Wan Rui, public relations director at Chery. "Chery's car business is similar to the magic show, as they are both driven by technology and constantly changing over time."

The Arrizo 7 Magic Edition has a starting price of 93,900 yuan ($15,290).

"There are few domestic automakers that provide an A-plus class vehicle at this price point," said Huang. "It is the quality and advancement of Chery that catches the customers' eyes."

"Arrizo 7 has many advantages over local and international models, especially in its safety, suspension, maneuver."

The earlier version of Arrizo 7 sedan had a sales volume of about 2,000 units a month.

Chery also unveiled the Tiggo 5 Magic Edition at the launch event in Chengdu, and it will hit the market in September.
