E-game champion launches Chery's Arrizo 3

The 2014 International DOTA2 Grand Champion Wang Zhaohui visited Hangzhou city in Zhejiang province last week not for an electronic-sports event, but to help the Chinese carmaker launch an economy sedan at a friendly price.

Twenty-six-year young Wang Zhaohui, game ID SanSheng, is one of the five professional e-sports gamers in China-based NewBee DOTA 2 team that won the title of 2014 International DOTA2 Championships in Key Areana in Seattle, Washington, this July.

General Manager of Chery Motor Sales Co Huang Huaqiong said Wang Zhaohui has demonstrated the vigor, passion and spirit of a world champion. Wang and the NewBee team represent the young attitude in Chery brand and products.

Wang last month helped Chery Automobile Co reveal the Arrizo 3 Champion Edition with a specially designed black and red color scheme and NewBee team badge on the body and the seats at the Auto Guangzhou in Guangdong province.

Chery sees a lot in common between the personalities of young e-sports fans and the Arrizo 3 sedan , and it has a sporty shape derived from Arrizo series' Hydro Dynamic Surfacing design language.

The 4,458 mm length and the wheel base of 2,572 mm bring a room of 1,200mm for the passengers in the front row and 1,260mm at the back.

The new model is powered by a 1.5-liter engine with an 80 kW max output at 6,000 round-per-minutes, and a 140 Nm peak torque at 3,000 rpm.

Every Arrizo 3 comes with wing mirror two-color LED indicators, a shark fin antenna, 4-door electric windows, keyhole lighting, headlight electric adjustment, Antilock Brake System and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution.

Chairman of the Board and General Manager Yin Tongyao believes the starting price of 53,900 yuan is a friendly price for young pals.

The suggested price for automatic versions tops at 75,900 yuan. The two 4-speed automatic versions offer multi-function genuine leather covered steering wheels for a better handling, and Cruise Control System for an easy cruise drive.

The carmaker is also refining the product line-up to grab young generation's attention, and will have more models that go with their tastes, said Yin.
