Dog and eight puppies healthy after C-section

A dog is the proud new mother of eight puppies after having a Caesarean section in Wuhan, Hubei province, on Tuesday.

A local woman, surnamed Li, was reduced to tears when she found her pet named Ya Ya gravely ill and unable to give birth naturally recently.

Animal doctors immediately organized a Caesarean operation for Ya Ya at the city's Jiangtan pet central hospital.

Li was all smiles again two hours later after Ya Ya had delivered.

Both the mother and her babies are now in good health.
