Impoverished can enjoy favorable policies longer

Impoverished counties, villages and families will still benefit from the country's poverty alleviation policies for a certain period after they have been lifted out poverty, said Liu Yongfu, head of the State Council Leading Group Office of Poverty Alleviation and Development.

Liu made the remarks at a press conference for the Fifth Session of the 12th National People's Congress on Tuesday.

He said that they can enjoy the favorable policies until 2020, which will help boost their development and prevent them from falling into poverty again.
