Coca-Cola probed over surveying allegations

Coca-Cola Co is being investigated by the National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation after reports of alleged illegal surveying activities.

A statement on Friday said the administration has been informed that the Yunnan branch of the United States-based soft drinks giant is suspected of collecting geological information and data using illegal means.

Media reports said the provincial administration of surveying, mapping and geoinformation in Yunnan had announced that Coca-Cola used GPS devices to carry out illegal surveying in the province.
