Xuanwu Lake expected to become a national water park

Situated at the foot of Zhongshan Mountain in Nanjing, Xuanwu Lake is a beautiful scenic spot near the Nanjing railway station.

According to Xinhua News Agency, Nanjing municipal government has already submitted the application letter to China's Ministry of Water Resources to build Xuanwu Lake into a national-level water park.

Meanwhile, the Xuanwu Lake Dredging Feasibility Study Report released by Hohai University shows that lake's reservoir capacity will be increased to 7 million cubic meters in the future, with part of the space used for building ecological wetlands.
