Yu Lian, 28, talks about her plastic surgery nightmare, which left her face swollen, making her look decades older, at Guangzhou Armed Police Hospital in Guangdong province, Sept 24, 2013. Yu, a native of Gansu province, received plastic surgery to make her face fuller at the age of 17. As a migrant worker, she ditched expensive injections for cheap and shoddy substitutes, which led to various side effects such as swelling and changes in facial features that showed up years after the surgery.
