Beckham was "honoured" to receive his 108th England cap

Wednesday saw the player achieve a milestone 里程碑 in his career by winning his 108th cap （替某國）出場次數(shù) for England in their friendly match 友誼賽 against Spain, equalling the record 打平手 for an outfield player 除守門員外的球員 set by Bobby Moore.

The record for an England player in any position is held by goalkeeper 守門員 Peter Shilton, who represented his country 125 times.

David Beckham, who is currently on loan 被借到 at AC Milan from LA Galaxy, came on as a 45th minute substitute 替補 but could not prevent his side losing out 2-0 to Spain.

Beckham himself indicated several times over the past week how keen he was to stay at AC Milan.

"I've said I want to stay at Milan and I haven't changed my mind, but it's out of my hands."

By this he means that he cannot personally affect the outcome, that the decision about whether he stays or goes will be made by other people.

Of course, there is another marriage to consider in whether or not Beckham will move to Milan long-term. David has indicated that his wife, the former Spice Girl Victoria and his three children are his "number one priority".

Beckham joined Milan on loan in an attempt to revive 重新振作起來 his international career after England head coach Fabio Capello said he needed to be playing more competitive football.

Milan, who have had a ￡5m (48.7m yuan) bid for the 33-year-old rejected, have so far failed to meet the Galaxy's valuation 估價, which is reportedly 據(jù)報道 in excess of ￡10m (97.3m yuan).
