Mausoleum of Yellow Emperor

Mausoleum of Yellow Emperor, memorial mausoleum for the legendary initiator of Chinese civilization, is the most important ancient grave site in China. The main sights include Mausoleum of Yellow Emperor and Xuanyuan Temple. The Mausoleum of Yellow Emperor covers an area of about 1.5 square miles, surrounded by a dense cypress forest.

The mausoleum is located in Mt. Qiao, about 0.6 miles north of Yan’an City. It takes about 4 hours to drive from Xi’an to the scenic spot.
