Long Guoqiang, director-general of the General Office of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), met with Bai Xiangyang, the deputy mayor of Nanyang, Henan province, on Oct 31, to give their views on increased cooperation between the center and Nanyang, and opening-up and development of China's central regions. Attending the meeting were Zhao Jinping, director-general, DRC Foreign Economic Relations Research Dept, and Lv Gang and Chen Hongna.
