The issue of natural resource assets (NRA) is extremely crucial and complex. NRA is a significant domain which comprises both theoretical and empirical issues. During the period of China's deepened reform and innovation in constructing ecological civilization, both theoretical and empirical problems relating to NRA are of key importance. Based on the normative analysis of NRA theories and the empirical analysis of NRA's present and future business and management in China, it is believed that it is vitally necessary to conduct a relatively systematic study on NRA-related issues, and the key ones are as follows: 1. Basic notions and nature of NRA; 2. Property right of NRA; 3. NRA value and its assessment; 4. Value realization and income distribution of NRA; 5. Accounting of NRA; 6. Auditing of NRA; 7. Trading of NRA; 8. Business of NRA; 9. Supervision of NRA and relevant mechanism; and 10. Policy instruments of NRA.
