Abstract: Jiangsu province has attached great importance to providing more high-quality ecological products to meet people’s growing needs for a better life. There are a number of successful cases to prove its achievements, such as the ecological reconstruction of coal mining subsidence area induced by coal-mining operations in Jiawang district of Xuzhou city and the construction of the “ecological parks” in Suqian city. The experience drawn from Jiangsu’s typical practices on the value realization of ecological products can be illustrated as follows. First, the province has taken the concept that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” as the principal guidance, adopted effective measures and constantly promoted ecological restoration and reconstruction. Second, it has strengthened the construction of ecological and environmental management mechanism, strictly controlled environmental protection and addressed technical issues of projects at the source, established a digital regulation platform, improved environmental protection organizations in villages and towns, and put into effect the strictest standards throughout the whole process of project approval, construction and production. Third, it has taken an eco-type and market-oriented stance to realize the value of ecological products, turned ecological advantages into development advantages and ecological resources into resources that benefit the people, strengthened ecological protection and management, sped up the development of ecological economy and increased the economic value through green development.'
