Registration for the 2015 Xiamen International Marathon started on 15th November. According to the Xiamen International Marathon organizing committee, a total of 30,000 runners registered for the marathon race on the first day of registration, and the number is still growing.

The 2015 Xiamen International Marathon is scheduled to be held on January 3rd, and the starting point will be relocated to WuTong Lighthouse Park due to the fourth phase of construction of the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center.

The Xiamen WuTong Lighthouse Park is located in the coastal area of Huandao road. Standing more than 70 meters in height, the Wutong Lighthouse has become the landmark building in eastern Xiamen.

According to the Xiamen International Marathon organizing committee, the upcoming 13th Xiamen International Marathon will only have two competition options on January 3rd, the full marathon and the half marathon.

The 2015 Xiamen International Marathon will have its stating point relocated to WuTong Lighthouse Park instead of from the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center, which is currently under the fourth phase of construction.

The First Cross-strait (Xiamen) Women's half-marathon was already been held on November 1st in Haicang district. Two of the main competition options for previous Xiamen International Marathons, the 10km & 5km races, will be held on December 13th along Haicang Avenue in Haicang District.

Expected number of runners: 45,000 in total (25,000 for full-Marathon, 20,000 for half-marathon)

Full-Marathon: Xiamen WuTong Lighthouse Park → Huandao Dong Road → North Huizhan Road → Huizhan Road → South Huizhan Road→South Huandao Road → South Yunding Road → South Huandao Road → Baicheng Bridge near Xiamen University (turnaround point)→ South Huandao Road → South Huizhan Road → Huizhan Road →North Huizhan Road → East Huandao Road →main entrance of the Xiangshan International Yacht Club→ Eastern Huandao Road→Xiamen WuTong Lighthouse Park (Finish)

Half-Marathon: Xiamen WuTong Lighthouse Park (Start)→ Huandao Dong Road → North Huizhan Road → Huizhan Road → South Huizhan Road→South Huandao Road → South Yunding Road → South Huandao Road →Longhushan Road (Little Egret Art and Culture Center, Finish)

Registration fees:

The registration fees for the full marathon, half marathon and 5km races remain unchanged while the registration fee for the 10km race will be raised to RMB 65 per person, 15 yuan more than previous years’ marathon, as the bonus for the 10km race will be raised and more timing chips will be used in the race.
