Guizhou province is upgrading its security after Saturday's terrorist attack at Kunming Railway Station in neighboring Yunnan province.

"Please show your ID card," said an armed police officer, while checking suspicious individuals at the ticket hall of Jin Yang coach station in Guiyang, Guizhou province.

The Guiyang public security bureau has organized armed police to patrol in and around Jinyang passenger station and Guiyang Railway Station.

Each armed policeman is equipped with a stainless steel military fork -- which measures over 2 meters and resembles a U-shaped fork -- that can be used to lock an adult at the neck, waist or leg.

One of the armed police said that his team had examined more than 100 people, and several suspicious passengers were sent to the local police station.
