Anshun has been a strategic area since ancient times, with convenient traffic.

Guiyang-Kunming Railway runs through the city and the tourist-dedicated train "Huangguoshu" shuttles back and forth between Guiyang and Anshun. In addition, Anshun is connected to the outside through Xiaonanhai-Guiyang, Zhuzhou-Guiyang, Longli-Liuzhou railway lines.

The airport has opened direct flights from Guiyang to Hongkong. The first high-grade highway in Southwest China connects Guiyang and Huangguoshu.

Industry conditions

Anshun’s average temperature of above 10 C lasts nine months of the year, with no record of going above 35 C. Summer in Anshun also features frequent wind and much rain, so its summer is cool and fresh. The next morning after it has rained, there is very fresh air that contains abundant negative oxygen ions, making Anshun a natural "oxygen bar".

It has an eight-month period of comfort from April to November, longer than any other major tourism destinations in China.

Additionally, Anshun has its altitude between 560 and 1,500 meters, where air pressure is the best for the human heart.

Market prediction

Anshun is a 30-miniute drive from Huangguoshu and Longgong scenic spots. In 2010, the number of tourists in Anshun reached 13.25 million; in 2011, the number reached 18.55 million; and in 2012, the number increased to 22.44 million. The number increased with an average annual growth of 30 percent.

Currently, there are a total of three four-star hotels, three three-star hotels and seven two-star hotels in Anshun. The number of beds amounts to 3,000 in all starred hotels and inns, which cannot meet the requirements of 43,633 beds, on the basis of 70 percent of visitors checking in.
