Football whisks away holiday doldrums

If you're worried about the possibility that the children might get bored this summer holiday and just sitting around, then a look at what football has done for some kids in Nanyang, Henan province might give you some ideas.

A?group of boys undergoing football training at a sports ground on the Nanyang Institute of Technology got so absorbed in what they were doing that they totally ignored the heat wave engulfing the city.

The training includes basic skills such as dribbling, intercepting, passing, and catching, and tactical moves and match games. The activity injected a bit of fun into the children's holiday life, and improved them physically and the sports culture as well.

As more attention is given to football across China, football schools with skilled players have sprung up and the professional trainings they provide pave the way to an improved football business.
