Ruzhou Xuegong, a relic protection site at the national level, was a school when it was built in 1370 during the Ming Dynasty (1367-1644). With a history of more than 600 years, Ruzhou Xuegong is of historical significance in terms of ancient architecture and education, forming an inseparable architectural complex with the neighboring Confucian Temple.

The structure is 325 meters long from south to north and 50 meters wide from east to west, with a total area of 20,870 square meters, or 22 mu. Characterized by neatly arranged rooms and a clear central axis, Ruzhou Xuegong has 116 palaces and halls, which have been well preserved. Dacheng Palace is the largest building, magnificent and solemn with statues of Confucius, Mengzi and other Confucius sages inside the hall. Looking up, tablets written by emperors of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) are hung above the door. Since the 1980s, the government has invested 500,000 yuan to renovate some of the palaces and halls. More than 2,000 pieces of relics are collected here.

The Ruzhou Porcelain Museum, built on part of the buildings in Ruzhou Xuegong, was open to the public in 1985. It is the only county-level museum in Ruzhou and the only museum specializing in the collection and exhibition of Ru wares. In 2001, the annual meeting of the Institution of China Ancient Ceramics was held in Ruzhou, and the museum received high praise from experts.

The setting of the museum is elegant and every exhibition room is large and bright. The museum contains a rich collection of porcelains and relevant documents, such as the rare royal Ruzhou ceramics and art ceramics, old and new stone wares, bronze wares and many other valuable collections. There are three showrooms in the museum. The first shows the technical process of Ruzhou porcelains after 1949, the second shows the samples, models and many exquisite porcelains, and the third shows one of the art treasures of Ruzhou, Rutie, which is a work of calligraphy by famous people from ancient times.
