On April 15, Huaqiao International Service Business Park successfully held the Finance Back-Office Business Salon in Hong Kong. The Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and the Secretary of the Party Working Committee Of the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone Zhang Guohua, and Municipal Standing Committee member and Director of the Administration Committee of the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, Ren Xueyuan, and vice mayor of Kunshan Huang Jian attended. Leaders from fields ranging from insurance, banking and securities, fund companies, venture capital firms, and service outsourcing companies in Hong Kong, and academic experts in finance, as well as people in charge from financial news agencies were also present.

Discussions at the salon centered around the topic— “the development trends in the financial service outsourcing industry”. Chen Chengwei, vice president from the sales department of PCCW Ltd., gave a speech on the development trends in the service outsourcing during and after the financial crisis.

Executive director and partner from Ashe Capital Management Ltd. Wang Lu spoke on whether the shrinking economy accelerates the development of service outsourcing.

Zeng Yuanchang, MBA director of College of Business, City University of Hong Kong, discussed the important strategies of successful service outsourcing.

Li Zhiming, Hong Kong managing director of Atos Origin talked about the risk management of BPO and Li Shen, partner of KPMG addressed the salon on the favorable conditions in the development of service outsourcing industry in Kunshan.

Secretary Zhang Guohua pointed out that, the following ten years are probably the very period when China’s financial industry will undergo big transformation and the financial BPO industry develops. With this idea, the Kunshan government established Huaqiao International Service Business Park four years ago, serving as the region that takes on the financial service outsourcing. Ren Xueyuan promoted Huaqiao in the salon and encouraged participants to actively exchange ideas on the development of service outsourcing.

Guests also gave valuable advice and suggestions for the development of Huaqiao as China’s Silicon Valley in terms of financial service outsourcing.
