Distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen:

Good morning. Today, I am very delighted to attend the conference on the joint business-opening and commencement of projects in Huaqiao and the construction of principal industrial programs and the soft environment. On behalf of Suzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, I extend my congratulations and sincere regards to all guests present.

In recent years, Kunshan has been persistently made manufacturing as its supporting industry and developed the service sector as a way to strengthen its economy. The city gives priority to the development of innovative industry, while accelerating the spanning development of the service sector to enhance the establishment of a service cluster district with Huaqiao International Service Business Park as the focus.

Kunshan is also developing the productive service industry and outsourcing service, actively cultivating the headquarters economy, and promoting the culture industry.

Characteristics of investment in Kunshan have been emphasized. The advanced manufacturing and modern service industries have been combined.

All the above leads to a robust and fast-developing economy. Even during and after last year’s global financial crisis, the momentum of the development of Kunshan’s economy was maintained and Kunshan became a hot investment spot for investors from home and abroad.

The Park is one of the key modern service projects in Jiangsu Province, with particular support from the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. Since its foundation, Huaqiao has given full play to its advantages, such as its location near Shanghai, the preferential policies in Jiangsu, and the low costs in Kunshan.

With the planning and design more impressive than normal cities, infrastructure better than industrial gardens, business costs lowers than those in Shanghai, service system advanced than normal development zones, system and mechanism more optimized than other regions, Huaqiao has successfully attracted abundant well-known domestic and international enterprises and principal projects, a cluster district composed of four big fields ranging from service outsourcing, headquarters economy, logistics and trading having taken initial shape.

In particular, it has built a nearly complete financial BPO industrial chain. Currently, another 60 projects have been launched and some other important projects such as Global Data Solutions Limited have come about bringing vigor and vitality to Huaqiao. We believe that these enterprises will surely gain generous rewards.

It is hoped that Huaqiao could seize the precious chances in such a situation. Through halving the costs in terms of construction, service and talents, optimizing the service, strengthening the construction of service carriers, and promoting industry capacity, Huaqiao could build itself as China’s Silicon Valley in terms of finance as well as an influential satellite town to the metropolis in China and the world. The Suzhou Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government will attach much importance to the construction of Huaqiao by providing policy support like before. We welcome more and more investors from both home and abroad to Suzhou and Kunshan for sightseeing, investigation and investment.
