In the morning of May 7, Huaqiao International Service Business Park held the leading group meeting for prevention and control of influenza A (H1N1). Under the guidance of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, the State Council, the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Government, the Municipal Party Committees and Governments of Suzhou and Kunshan, the Park deployed the prevention and control of influenza A (H1N1). Deputy Director of the Administration Committee of the Huaqiao Economic Development Zone Zhang Jianwen and leaders from relevant departments attended.

Since the influenza A (H1N1) broke out in foreign countries, in accordance with the requirements of the State Council, the Jiangsu Provincial Government as well as Suzhou and Kunshan Municipal Governments, and the Principle of “attach great importance, positively respond, work unitedly, and treat with scientific knowledge”, Huaqiao has carried out a series of preparation work concerning prevention and control of influenza A (H1N1), established a leading group, and drafted relevant schemes.

Having listened to the reports given by the departments, Zhang Jianwen pointed out that, there are frequent population flows around Huaqiao which is located near Shanghai. Therefore, the prevention and control work in this area should be conducted in a stricter manner. To keep the virus away from the enterprises and residents near Huaqiao, the relevant departments should pay close attention to the flows of foreign staff and businessmen in foreign-funded enterprises around the Park, through careful registration, monitoring and examination. Zhang also suggested the relevant departments to stick to the Principle in the next phase of work to maintain the economic development and social order.
