A group of 130 people led by Lu Zhipeng, secretary of the Hexi New Town Committee, visited Huaqiao International Service Business Park last Friday.

Tang Naixin, vice director of the managing committee of Huaqiao International Service Business Park, met the delegation with a warm welcome and briefed them on Huaqiao’s industrial position, development advantage and achievements.

Hexi New Town is expected to be the new center and symbol of the modern city of Nanjing. It has a total area of about 94 sq km, of which 56 square kilometers is land area, along with the Jiangxin islet, the Qian islet and 38 sq km of the Yangtze River. The current population is 350,000, with the future population expected to reach 600,000 in the near future.

With an international view and advanced concepts, Hexi New Town is projected to become a modern town of first-class quality.

Huaqiao International Service Business Park is situated in the Kunshan Huaqiao Economic Development Zone, on the border between Shanghai Municipality and Jiangsu Province. Covering an area of 50 square kilometers, the Park was listed by the provincial party committee and government as one of the demonstration zones specializing in modern services and one of the major projects of the province’s “11th Five-Year Plan”. As one of the financial hubs of the province, the Park was approved as a provincial development zone in 2006 and provincial demonstration zone of international outsourcing services in 2007.
