The Ministry of Commerce has approved Jiangsu province’s application to set up a Cross-Straits (Kunshan) Logistics Center in Huaqiao.

Huaqiao’s government has been required to submit a report on implementation details for the project to the Ministry of Commerce for examination and approval as soon as possible.

The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce has been asked to provide guidance to Huaqiao on this issue.

The Cross-Straits (Kunshan) Logistics Center will begin undergoing construction as soon as its report on implementation details, to be submitted soon, is approved by the Ministry of Commerce.

In the opinion of the Ministry of Commerce, this Logistics Center would not only provide for convenient transportation between Jiangsu Taicang Port and Kaohsiung in Taiwan Area, but also promote the modern service industry in Jiangsu Province.

Huaqiao, short for Huaqiao International Service Business Park, is situated in east Jiangsu province’s Kunshan city, on the border between Shanghai Municipality and Jiangsu Province.
