Li Hongzhong, secretary of the CPC Hubei Provincial Committee, visited the China Daily Hubei Bureau on Feb 11 and wished the staff a Happy New Year.

Li Hongzhong reads a China Daily report on the new lives of relocated families in the province because of the project to divert water from the south to the north of the country.

Zhou Lihua, head of the bureau, briefed Li on the bureau’s reports on Hubei in the past year.

Li thanked the bureau’s staff for their work and talked with journalists from the bureau in English after reading one China Daily report on the new lives of relocated families in the province because of the project to divert water from the south to the north of the country.

“Thank for your report and I hope you will introduce more of Hubei’s achievements to overseas readers,” Li said.
