CGGC Limited succeeds in interception in Stung Russei Chrum Hydropower Station

On Dec 28, 2010, CGGC Limited made a successful interception in the upper Stung Russei Chrum Hydropower Station, marking the commencement of the main body construction.

Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, attended the ceremony and filled the gap in his hands with the red-silk-decorated foundation stone.

Suy Sem, Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Pan Guangxue, Chinese ambassador to Cambodia and Xing Deyong, CGGC vice president, also attended the ceremony.

Stung Russei Chrum is the largest hydro project in Cambodia. Exclusively undertaken by CGGC Limited, the hydropower station has a concrete face rockfill dam with a top elevation of 124 meters, the normal storage level of 263 meters and the total storage capacity of 401.8 million m3.
