Preferential policies

In order to support the development of key industries, Nantong Economic & Technological Development Area has promulgated a series of policies, including reduction or exemption of administrative charges, extending more financial support, and improving administrative services. Foreign invested enterprises with an operation period of more than ten years will be given a certain income tax rebate for the portion retained by the municipal or district's taxation authorities.

The development area has set up a science and technology progress award and extended key awards to major scientific and technological programs. The district financial department provides support and encourages enterprises to apply for all sorts of technological programs. A series of preferential policies on encouraging enterprises to invest more in research and development have also been drafted. It will become simple for enterprises to apply for high-tech enterprises and high-tech products, and support technological incubation. The development area has set up a venture capital guiding investment fund to support the development of venture investment enterprises through joint stock, follow-up investment, financing guarantee and other modes. "Nantong Jianghai Talent Program" and "Development Area's Xinghu Program" have been carried out to attract and cultivate more talents and set up a talent support mechanism. High-grade talents connected with investment and financing, scientific project funds, as well as residence and businesses are supported. The development area has earmarked a special fund for headquarter construction, encouraging companies to build headquarters, lease office buildings or register headquarters in the development area. As for new foreign enterprises in the development area, offices and executive apartments will be furnished.
