By Feb 23, the Red Cross Society of Zhangjiagang city, Jiangsu province, had received 3.91 million yuan ($561,085) in donations and 57 batches of essential supplies.

Jiangsu Dream Da Day Supplies Co donated 15,000 bottles of disinfectants to the local Red Cross Society, villages, communities and checkpoints on Zhangjiagang's expressway network. The local Nio car club donated goods worth 67,052 yuan. The chamber of commerce of Shuanglong village donated 129,000 yuan to the Red Cross and 3,000 yuan for each of the 43 medical workers who are aiding Hubei province in the fight against COVID-19.

Officials said 3.49 million yuan had been distributed for the epidemic fight by Feb 23, while the remaining 423,870 yuan would be remitted soon.

The 57 batches of goods were sent to local medical institutes, Hubei province, and other areas in need in accordance with the wishes of those who donated the goods.
