Hiking in Sanqingshan

We spent 2 days hiking Sanqingshan Mountain, stayed overnight at the Heaven Gate Hotel atop the mountain, and it is absolutely some of the most spectacular scenery on the planet!

But, do believe them when the caution about being in good physical condition. I've never climbed so many stairs in my life as I did in 2 days here! Definitely worth it.

Our group of 20 was half American, half European. Of the busloads of tourists, we seemed to be the only Westerners. As we found everywhere during our 5 week China excursion, China's people are always wonderfully welcoming.

It's a schlep, but it's soooo worth it!
