In 2010, the top 100 economic entities (including groups) in Dandong unprecedentedly paid 3 billion yuan in taxes, accounting for 33.9 percent of the city's annual gross tax incomes, according to the city's local tax bureau. Industrial enterprises stood at the top of the list, accounting for 39% of the taxes from the top 100 companies. They were followed by businesses from the real estate sector, construction industry, power companies, trading sector and financial sector.

The elevated taxation scale shows the city has made new progress in economic restructuring and project construction. The national economy and enterprise benefits have stepped upon a new ladder.
