The planning of the Second Island in the Dongjiang Area of Tianjin Port has recently been approved by Tianjin Government. The island, an important part of the Dongjiang port, will implement major functions such as shipping logistics, international trade, financing and leasing, bonded processing, and ecological residence based on geographic advantages and preferential policies, according to the plan.
Together with the First Island in the Dongjiang Area, an important international shipping and logistic center in the North China will be formed.
The total planned area of the Second Island is 42.48 square meters. The planned area is to the south of the mouth of the Yongding River, to the west of the Bohai Harbor five meter deep area, to the north of the major channels of the Tianjin Port, and to the east of the ecological harbor of the First Island in Dongjiang Area.
