Kunming's government recently organized its 12th "Excellent Enterprises" Selection. The State-owned Asset Management Co in the Kunming National Hi-Tech Industries Development Zone won the title.

The State-owned Asset Management Co was founded along with the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone in 1992. It undertakes the urban construction administration and social security services in the zone, including the renewal of built-up areas, land development, investment and financing, investment promotion, infrastructure construction, and the necessary services for enterprises entering the zone. In the last two decades, the State-owned Asset Management Co has made valuable contributions to the zone's economic and social development.

The Excellent Enterprises Selection is aimed at boosting new industrialization and promoting an innovative spirit. The assessment committee was formed by officials from Kunming's departments and bureaus of finance, tax, environmental protection, and quality supervision, to examine candidate enterprises from a number of different viewpoints.
